If you wish to have the perfect device to listen to music then get a Yamaha R-9 or RX What I mean is that you don’t have a Dual or Quad but ainstead a “Six-phonic” stereo. You will need to read tha manual to see how to combine the speakers according to the ohms. I used to have a pair of Cerwin Vega D EE on this R-9 monster and there was no comparison at all, I had the best stereo combination among all my soldier peers on my barrack. Highlights to mention is that this receivers have an analog flat loudness knob around the volume knob which is operable by the remote control. Together with the flat loudness feature it also has Dinamic Noie Cancelation and Simulated Stereo plus something that you dont see in any other receiver or amp in the market; this receivers have midrange adjust knob. Being unique in this combination I used the treble, bass and midrange in combination with the flat loudness analgog knobs to set my desired sound frequency range.
Can i hook up home speakers in my car?
Speaker Connections for proper impedance match A note about amplifiers: You should always use the recommended load for your amplifier. However, if you must use a load other than the recommended load, here is a short guide.
iHome Connect. Welcome to the easiest way to connect iHome AirPlay speakers to your Wi-Fi network and change device names. Available for iPhone. Connect & manage. Connect your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to the AirPlay speaker, launch the app, and gain immediate access to settings.
Electrical tape 2 Ensure that the speakers you’ve chosen fit your car. Many after-market speakers will fit into the spaces for the stock speakers, while others will require minor modifications, like the installation of a mounting bracket, the drilling of new screw holes, etc. Be sure to take this into account when you buy your new speakers – the installation processes for differently-sized or shaped speakers can vary in difficultly.
Note that many speaker retailers offer online tools for determining which of their products best “fit” your car. As with nearly all types of electrical work, it’s important to protect yourself and the electrical system before beginning. Disconnecting the battery’s negative terminal prevents the risk of injury from electric shock or damage to the car’s electronics through short circuiting, so be sure to do so before tampering with any of the car’s internal electronics.
Since there’s so many different types of speakers available, it’s nearly impossible to write a how-to guide that will perfectly cover all of them. The instructions below are highly generalized and may not apply to every single set of speakers on the market. Whenever necessary, defer to the instructions included with your speakers, as these will be specifically suited to your unique product.
Part 2 Installing New Speakers 1 Take any panels or speaker grilles off. Nearly all speakers in the interior of a car will be covered with some sort of protective paneling or grill. Before the speaker can be modified or replaced, this barrier must be removed.

Never work with the cables connected to the car batteries. This is dangerous both to you and your car. You can disconnect them through removing the ground connection in the terminals of your battery. Plan the path of the cables.

I get this question quite often and it’s something I wondered about when I was first getting into car audio. Can you use car stereo equipment in a home stereo? The answer is yes. Speakers This is especially true of speakers since they are passive devices. But you do need to make sure your home stereo unit can handle the lower impedance of most car speakers. The typical car speaker is four ohms and most home receivers are designed for eight ohms.
You would either need a receiver capable of driving four ohms or you would need to wire a pair of identical drivers in series to get eight ohms. Keep in mind that a four ohm woofer and a four ohm tweeter, each with identical crossover points will not sum to eight ohms when wired in series. In fact different speakers that have passive crossover components wired inline should be connected in parallel. This is so the different filter crossover components will not interfere with each other in a series arrangement.
Likewise, paralleling a four ohm woofer and a four ohm tweeter, each with identical crossover points will not sum to two ohms when wired in parallel. The passive crossover makes each driver’s impedance resistance over a frequency range rise beyond the passband the frequency range the filter is designed to let the speaker reproduce. So over the entire frequency range the impedance would remain four ohms.

Lol the only people that’s mad at the video never hooked anything dealing with car audio lol. Good video and explanation zach ryan: Don’t let the stupid people tell you it was confusing. I got what you were saying Raul Ramirez:
How to play my iPhone 5 through my car speakers? – 1 My older () car had a cassette player and I used an audio cassette; now I have a car with no cassette player, no Bluetooth and no mm AUX – I only have a radio, CD player and a couple of cigarette lighter-type ports.
By Mitch Bartlett 17 Comments There are a few different ways to approach connecting an Android device to your car stereo. The one you choose to use depends on the features your car stereo has. You may be able to spot the audio jack on or near the stereo. Some vehicles like the Honda CRV have an audio jack in the center console in between the front right and left seats. You can use a simple 3. Of course, using such a jack may involve removing the stereo and other handy work.
You can usually store music on your Android phone, or other USB device like a flash drive. Simply copy music files to your Android, then connect it using the USB cable provided with your device, and your stereo should have a mode you can place it in that plays the music files from the device. This method usually does not work if your music is streamed via the Internet. The files usually must be physically stored on the Android. Set your car stereo to find the device, then you should be prompted to enter a PIN.
Can I connect my car speakers to my cell phone? if so, how?
The only big difference between them normally is the ohm. Car speakers are normally 4ohm. Home speakers are normally 8ohm.
if you use it as a sub amp, just use a y-adapter to convert the single green sub out rca into 2 rcas, plug into your amp and hook up your using as a mid-tweeter amp,its only a 2 channel kicker so you can run the amp to just your front or rear speakers, not all (4).example:find your 2 front speaker them to the kicker speaker.
You ONLY have the speakers? If you don’t have a home stereo with “audio in” jacks, then I don’t know how you can hook up your home speakers to your computer. ANY home stereo will do, as long as it has “aux in” jacks. First off I would suggest scraping your laptop’s built-in audio right from the get-go. Though this Extigy I can’t see if it has line-out.
If you plan on using an amp you definitely want to have line level outputs for the cleanest signal. For your amp you’ll need to leave the PC world and get in the audio world. Check out amps from the likes of AudioSource http: If you are on a budget, you can get by with using your headphone jack into an amp into your speakers. But don’t expect high quality.
On the other hand, if you want to pump a DVD movie out to your 5. You have a lot of options, but the AMP may cost you some booku bucks. Because you’ll soon find out that audio amps are a lot more expensive then car amps.
Related As a car owner, sometimes you may find yourself in some tricky situations. Try picturing out this particular situation. You have ditched your car, and it had very good car speakers.
The amp is 2 channel. You can Parallel wire the lefts to the left channel and do the same for the right channel. Assuming you are using the 6*9’s for the rear and components for the front.
Tweet When it comes to volume, a speaker’s rated wattage is only part of the equation There seems to be some confusion when it comes to how “loud” an amplifier can get. When it comes to “volume,” many musicians only consider the amplifier’s power or wattage rating, and in general, more watts does mean “louder. Decibels and levels Decibels abbreviated “dB” are a logarithmic unit of measurement that pertain to a ratio between two numbers.
Okay, I can see eyes rolling and glazing over, so I’ll simplify things, and attempt to keep the “math” to an absolute minimum. With a logarithmic scale, you can’t just add numbers in the usual way—a doubled number isn’t “twice as much,” but rather, many times more. For example, dB is many times greater than 50dB, not just “twice as much. In other words, if one amp is generating 90dB SPL and another amp is hitting dB SPL, the second amp will generally be perceived to sound about twice as “loud” to the typical listener.
Wattage, power, and SPL So how many watts does it take to get twice as loud? Let’s imagine two amps—one amp rated at 10 watts, and a second amplifier rated at 20 watts. The watt amp is double the power of the watt amp, but doubling the power only translates to an increase of 3dB SPL.

And a big part of that information is our music collection. It most probably occupies the biggest part of the SD card on our smartphone, and we would like to listen to it anywhere and anytime. And a part of our day where we would want to listen to our music is when we drive in our cars, going from place to place, but also in our home, when we like to plug in our smartphones to the audio system and start relaxing. There are a few options that work with your existing audio system, the old fashioned one, with just a few modifications.
Apr 11, · 1) Do not hook the dash speakers up to the amp, just run from the HU with the passive high pass filter on them. 2) Get some type of Active crossover for the dash and front door speakers, and wire all the speakers up to the amp.
If you have a vehicle that has had the factory stereo connector cut off from the stereo harness and do not know what each wire is in the factory stereo harness, you can follow these simple steps to determine what each wire is using a digital muti-meter and a AA battery or with just an analog meter. You may also need a 1 amp fuse and a few feet of gauge primary wire. If you are using an analog meter my preference for this , set it to read DC voltage at or above 15 volts.
Setting your meter below this could cause damage to your meter or at least blow an internal fuse. Attach the common lead to a known ground in the vehicle and probe each wire with the positive lead. This will connect to the memory lead of your head unit, normally yellow on most aftermarket head units. The lead that shows a change in voltage when you adjust the dimmer switch is the dimmer wire. Third, with the ignition switch in the accessory position, measure each lead.
Fourth, with the ignition switch in the off position, set your meter to read resistance at the lowest scale and zero out your meter if you are using an analog meter. This will connect to the black lead on most aftermarket head units. The purpose of this is to find the negative power antenna trigger lead if your vehicle is so equipped.
